Blogs and Other Websites
  • The Learning Round Table Blog. The sister site of this wiki. If the goal of the wiki is to be a sort of reference book, think of the blog as a weekly magazine, containing timely articles and advice from some of the best and brightest library learning leaders in the U.S. (contributed by Richard Mott)
The Rapid eLearning Blog, by Tom Kuhlmann. "Shares practical tips and tricks to help you become a rapid elearning pro." Kuhlmann works for Articulate, but you don't have to use the software to learn a lot about developing effective, engaging self-paced e-classes. This is my favorite blog devoted to eLearning (at least until Jay Turner starts one). (contributed by Richard Mott) Speaking About Presenting. Wonderful blog that focuses on effective speaking and presenting. (contributed by Peter Bromberg) The Training Doctor. This is a custom instructional design firm that has a great newsletter you can subscribe to and great articles to check out. (contributed by Stephanie Zimmerman)
The AccidentalFind Trainer. A FREE resource serving a community of individuals who have “accidentally” become trainers. Their community members include one-person training departments, HR folks with training responsibilities, subject matter experts, number and managers who are the only provider of training for their workers.
